IWRBR Consulting

About the Founders
Founders Ashley Dearinger and Allison Ogle bring a wealth of expertise to the field of education and literacy consulting. Both raised in Louisville, KY, Ashley and Allison hold advanced degrees in education along with specialized certifications in literacy intervention, special education, teacher leadership, and Trauma-Informed Care. Their journey began with teaching roles at Jacob Elementary—Ashley in 2010 and Allison in 2013—where they developed a shared commitment to addressing the effects of trauma on student learning.
Drawing on their experience teaching in Louisville’s south and west neighborhoods, Ashley and Allison recognized the essential need for a trauma-responsive literacy approach that acknowledges how trauma impacts the brain. This led them to pioneer methods that address both academic and emotional barriers to learning, especially for families navigating systemic inequities in the educational system.
Through their work, they have seen firsthand how many families feel overlooked due to complex factors like limited advocacy resources, disparities in teacher preparedness, and a generational mistrust of educational institutions. Today, Ashley and Allison leverage their combined insights and expertise to provide consulting services that support educators and organizations in building effective, inclusive literacy programs responsive to the needs of every learner.
